Date: 2 December 2003 Radio Warneford To Make A Special Presentation Radio Warneford, the award-winning hospital broadcasting service based at Warwick Hospital, is to make a special presentation to pupils at St Joseph's Primary School in Whitnash. Earlier this year, Radio Warneford invited pupils at the school to enter a competition to design the cover for an exclusive calendar being produced to mark the station's thirtieth birthday. The calendar has now been published and features photographs from Radio Warneford's archive alongside the winning artwork. We have a superb DAB Digital Radio and CD player, donated by Crown Castle International, meals for two at Piccolino's in Warwick and The Crabmill at Preston Bagot, a half-hour flying lesson and a Quad Bike Trek. There are many other prizes to be won too! On Thursday 11 December at 10.30am, representatives from Radio Warneford will be visiting St Joseph's Primary School to make a special presentation. Katie Doherty, who designed the winning calendar cover picture, will receive a prize, as will two other pupils whose artwork appears inside the calendar. The school is also to be presented with a framed copy of the cover and some books for the school library. If anyone would like to purchase a copy, the calendar is now available from the League Of Friends shop at Warwick Hospital or directly from Radio Warneford on (01926) 401402. Each calendar costs £4.99. For more information about the presentation or to arrange for a photograph of the event, please contact Ley Bricknell at ley.bricknell@radiowarneford.com.
