Date: 17 December 2002 Christmas and New Year Schedules Radio Warneford, the award-winning hospital radio service based at Warwick Hospital, launches its nineteenth Christmas and New Year schedule today. Between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day, the station's volunteer members will be broadcasting more than fifty hours of special programmes for patients and staff. Radio Warneford will be on air on Christmas Day with Christmas Morning at Warwick Hospital. Our presenters will be celebrating Christmas on the wards and playing some seasonal music. Anyone who has a friend or relative at Warwick Hospital can pass on a special Christmas message by calling the Request Line on (01926) 401402 at any time between 10.15am and 11.45am on Christmas morning. Radio Warneford's most popular programme, The Request Show, will be broadcast on a number of days over Christmas and the New Year. Family and friends of patients can telephone the Request Line with their dedications and requests throughout the festive season on (01926) 401402. Among the other highlights, Radio Warneford will be broadcasting a five-part series celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the British singles chart. Each of the Fifty Years of Number One Hits programmes concentrates on the music of a decade from the 1950s to the 1990s. There is also a celebration of the most successful movie series of all time in Forty Years Of Bond.
